New York: Sheldon & Company, 1877. Book. Good+ condition. Hardcover. New edition, revised. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. 545 pages of text including index, followed by [vi] of publishers advertisement. Brown hardcover binding is not holding together; both boards are detached, and spine is mostly lacking and what remains is partially detached; text block is solid. Previous owner's name on front endpaper, while he was at Washington & Lee University in Lexington, VA in 1878-1879; W. B. T. Harris. This is likely the brother of author and traveller Lancelot Minor Harris. Several pages creased at top corner, and profuse pencil notations on endpapers, and minor underlining throughout text..
