1887 hardcover as pictured. Binding is intact but quite loose and partially separated at page 177. Brown cloth boards with embossed gold stamping on front and spine show wear with fraying at edges and corners. Front board remains attached at hinge but has pulled away from text block. Writing on front endpapers. FFEP is creased. Text is age tanned. A few pages have pencil notations but text is generally clean and unmarked. Includes over 300 illustrations.
