A near fine, first edition copy of this epitaph for Irish writer and poet George Moore, written by Charles Morgan and signed by him to the title page. A near fine, first edition copy of this epitaph on Irish poet and writer, George Moore (1852-1933). His most well-known works include Esther Waters (1894), Confessions of a Young Man (1888), and A drama in muslin (1886). Written by famous twentieth-century British novelist and playwright, Charles Morgan, and signed by the author to the title page, dated 1941. Containing an illustrated frontispiece and an additional illustrated plate, collated and complete. In the publisher's original quarter cloth binding with marbled boards. Externally, very smart, with just a small amount of shelf wear and bumping to the extremities. Signed by the author to the title page, dated 1941. Internally, front hinge is slightly tender to the head, but otherwise binding is firm throughout. The odd handling mark to the page, which are otherwise bright and clean. Very Good Indeed
