A nice copy of this edition.; "New and Revised Edition". xviii, 324, [1 (advertisement)], [3 (blank)] pages. Red cloth boards with gilt lettering on spine and front board. Page dimensions: 188 x 124mm. Top page edges gilt. This edition with a new 6 page Preface by the author dated August 7, 1901. Also includes the short "Preface to First Edition", and the 4 page "Preface to Second Edition" dated June 9, 1872. [References: Bagnall B1872 - "new material particularly Chapters 26 & 27 on 'Rights of Animals' and 'Rights of Vegetables'."; Negley "Utopian Literature" 171] .
