Boston: Arthur D. Phelps, 1848. First edition, 1848. Volume II only, containing reports 6 through 10, with the 9th and 19th reports devoted to French agriculture. Full brown leather with dual spine labels in black, 598 pages. Five engraved plates, all heavily foxed with dampstaining to the front is plate, additional engravings in the text. Covers rubbed with some some spotting, sound binding, dampstains to top portions of first few pages, ending just after the table of contents, endpapers a bit grubby with closed tear to front free endpaper and old personal bookplate (David D. Field, Stockbridge, Mass.) on front pastedown, pages otherwise a bit age-toned but clean, no other markings.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
