Volume I is the text: xxvi, 736pp, extensive bibliography, index of authors, general index. Volume II is all illustrations: 1,013pp, with charts and fold-outs. Slipcase is in good to very good condition, bumped and rubbed through at corners. William King Gregory (1876-1970) was an American zoologist, renowned as a primatologist, paleontologist, and functional and comparative morphologist. He was an expert on mammalian dentition, and a leading contributor to theories of evolution.. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good/No Dust Jacket. 4to - over 9" - 12" Tall.
