London: 1723. 2 sheets. (Overall sheet size: 56 x 132.5 cm). Attractive copper engraved map of the City of London extending from the junction of Fetter Lane and Fleet Street in the west to Fenchurch Street in the east and from the River Thames in the south to the Wall of London in the north. 'Plan of the City of London and Westminster' inset. Decorative title scrolls across both sheets and subtitles in architectural vignette and decorative cartouche. With vignettes showing 'Old Buildings near the Temple Gate Fleet Street', 'Baynard's Castle', 'The Old South View of St. Paul's Church', 'The West View of St. Paul's', 'Cheapside and the Cross taken before the Fire 1666', 'South Front of Guild Hall' and 'The Royal Exchange London As Built by Sir Thomas Gresham'. Small tears at margins, some with loss. Faint water stain to top left corner of first sheet. Else very clean and bright.
