Synopsis
A companion book to Fighting Angel, The Exile is Pearl Buck's biography of her mother, Caroline Stulting Sydenstricker. Pearl's mother was born in America and lived during the Civil War, and then married and went to China with her new husband to raise their children and watch him win souls for their God.
