London: Longman, Green, Longman, Roberts, & Green, 1864. 535 pages, plus plates and two [OF THREE] folding maps. Ex-Library with usual markings. Red leather over spine and corners, with raised spine bands and gilt stamped letters. Marbled paper over boards. Covers are a little scuffed and there is wear along the edges. Hinges (internal) are partially cracked, though holding solid. The first map "of South Africa..." shows some misfolds with several tears along folds. The second map of Walvish Bay to Thounce" is significantly misfolded and worn, with tears along some folds. Page 35/36 just following this map shows a four inch closed tear from outside edge through some text. The third map, Thounce to Victoria Falls..." is MISSING. All plates and illustrations are present and in generally good condition. . First Edition. Half Leather - Hardbound. Fair/O.
