The first impression of this first edition thus, one of 1,389 trade copies from a first edition of 1,500.Flat signed by Vance to the title page.In the publisher's original price unclipped dust wrapper, and illustrated throughout by Steve Fabian.First published by Ace in 1966, this work is the second in Vance's 'Dying Earth' series, taking place on a future Earth where Sun is dying and magic and technology coexist. The novel follows the character of Cugel the Clever in linked episodic stories, adapted from five short stories Vance had previously authored. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with price unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, fine. Dust wrapper exceptionally vibrant, with light sunning to dust wrapper back strip, with minor edgewear to back strip tail, and a few small closed tears to head of front wrap. Synopsis

The Eyes of the Overworld is a fantasy fixup by Jack Vance published in 1966, the second in the Dying Earth series. It features a series of linked stories detailing the travails of the self-proclaimed Cugel the Clever. In the Vance Integral Edition the book is retitled Cugel the Clever.
