Large folio hardcover bound in padded violet fabric lettered and decorated in silver. 296 pages. All edges gilt in silver. Appended are sections including Glossary, Workmasters, Literature [bibliography], Exhibitions, Notes and Index. Profusely illustrated with full page and vignette tipped in color photographic plates. First edition, first printing with no additional printings listed on copyright page. In addition to introductory material on company history, Forbes and Faberge and the famous eggs there are four sections devoted to the Forbes collection covering: Imperial and related commissions; fantasies, gifts and accessories; desk and tableware; Pan-Slavic revival, models and the art of war. No previous ownership marks. Slight bump to text block at bottom edge. Overall a superior copy of a delicate book. Covers are clean and interior is unmarked. Very good+. A large heavy book, Priority and International orders will require additional postage. .
