First trade paperback edition, published by Little, Brown, 1977. Originally published in hardcover in 1949, this is the first paperback edition. Illustrated throughout by the author. 5-1/4" X 8-1/4", 152 pages. Former owner's name written in fine point pen ink on the inside of the front cover. Edge wear to the left side at the spine, especially at the top inch or so of the spine. A couple of vertical creases to the spine at the top inch or so of the spine, slight crease to the top left corner of the back cover. No further writing besides the name on the inside cover. Not a library discard. This is the edition with the full color illustration on the cover. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
