London, Cassell Petter & Galpin, ca1875 Second Edition.. Hardback, 10.75 x 8.25 inches. Brown cloth with black and gilt lettering and decorations to front and spine. Blind embossed decoration on rear. In very good condition. Some handling marks to cloth, a couple of light spots to front, some rubbing to edges and corners. Professional repairs to ends of spines. Later endpapers. Tissue guard added to frontis plate. Neat inscription to top edge of title page dated 1875. A couple of minor handling marks to pages, edge of frontis plate, a couple of small repairs to edges of p60-63. Else a very good clean and tight copy. 96pp. Illustrated with 24 full-page &W plates by Gustave Dore.
