Angus & Robertson, London, 1956. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Very Good. Red cloth covered boards with black coloured titles to the back strip. Colour illustrated dustwrapper with yellow and black coloured titles to the front panel and yellow, black and white coloured titles to the back strip. Set during the reign of Charles II, and of men and women risking everything to save their country from disaster. Softening of the back strip edges with a little rubbing of the book corners and lower book edges. Light browning to the text block edges and pages. Previous owner's details to the top left hand corner of the front paste-down and free front endpaper. Offset tanning to the endpapers and the remains of tape can also be seen. A little chipping of the back strip edges and top right hand corner of the front panel. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels with some tape remnants to be seen to the fold over panels. First edition of the work in this format and binding, and/or set or series. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. 235, [1] pages.. Please refer to accompanying picture (s). Quantity Available: 1.
