Buckram lettered in purple, The bindings are tight and square. Text clean, light even toning. Moderate shelf handling wear. Shadow from removal of name sticker on the front free endpage. The Dust Jacket is with the price of $3.95 and is in a new clear protective Mylar sleeve and has light shelf wear handling. Jacket painting by Dale Heinnesy. 8.5 inches tall; 239 pages.. Filmed in 1966 by Richard Fleischer with Stephen Boyd, Raquel Welch, and Donald Pleasance with award winning special effects. This is a novelization of the screenplay by Harry Kleiner from the original story by Otto Klement and Jay Lewis Bixby. The book was a Nebula nominee for 1966.
Isaac Asimov was asked to write a novel based on the 1966 film of the same name. He had misgivings about several plot elements, especially the shrinking elements, but was never one to pass up a commission so he agreed.
