New York: Henry Holt and Company, 1874. First US Edition, First Printing. Hardcover. Octavo, 474 pages. In Good minus condition. Bound in tan cloth with black text and stamped illustrations on spine and front cover. Boards have cocking to spine, spine edges chipped off, peeling to tail of spine, sunning to spine, brown staining to both covers, and rubbing to corners exposing boards. Binding shaken. Text block has library stamp on front pastedown, previous owner's name on front pastedown, light uneven age toning, partial splitting to gutter between pages 448 and 449, and partial splitting to rear interior hinge. Endpaper ads dated December 1, 1874. Shelved in Case 13. 1371210. Shelved Dupont Bookstore.
