A series of autobiographical sketches by Arthur Machen, 'Far Off Things', in which the author discusses a series of anecdotes on classic literature with a sometime academic lens.Arthur Machen was a Welsh author and mystic, best remember today for his classic horror novella 'The Great God Pan'.A reprint for the New Adelphi Library, in which this is Volume 2.Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper, 'C. C. John Bullough'. In the original publisher's cloth binding. Externally, smart. Spine and the head and tail of the front board and head of the rear board are faded. Ring mark to the front board. A few small marks to the boards. Minor bumping to the head and tail of the spine and to the extremities. Prior owner's ink inscription to the recto of the front endpaper. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good
