1771. Robinson and Roberts. London. 1771. First edition. [xxviii], 399 pages. Half-title present. Bound in full 18th century calf gilt, leather splitting along parts of upper joint but binding sound. Small portion missing from head of spine. Front free endpaper partially attached to front pastedown. Previous ownership inscriptions to half-title and rear endpaper plus two delightful pencil drawings of a girl and boy to rear endpapers. Owners were all in Lantwitt Major. Some browning and very occasional staining to pages otherwise a remarkably clean and sound copy for a book that is over 250 years old!
