Reader reviews for Fatal Flowers

From the publisher

Crime author Ann Rule wrote, "Fatal Flowers is a chillingly authentic look into the blackest depths of a psychopath's fantasies. Not for the faint-hearted . . . Smith is a cop who has been there and a writer on his way straight up. Read this on a night when you don't need to sleep . . . 'cause you won't. Fatal Flowers will make the Silence of the Lambs seem almost tame." In the best tradition of suspense, thriller, and mystery novels, this crime novel grips you from the first page. Ellie Hartley knew she was lucky to be alive. The killer followed her from the airport, then he set her free. But why? Because he's not finished with her yet. Or her baby daughter. He's sending her flowers to prove it. Fatal Flowers.

About the author

Enes Smith relied upon his experience as a homicide detective to write his first two novels, "Fatal Flowers" Berkley, 1992, and "Dear Departed" Berkley 1994. Smith's work as a tribal police chief led to his Indian Cold River series, "Cold River Rising," and "Cold River Resurrection." He has been a college instructor and adjunct professor, teaching a vast array of courses in criminology and sociology. He is a frequent keynot speaker at regional and national events and has been a panelist at The Bouchercon, the World Mystery Convention.
