About This Item
This soft-cover edition (no dust jacket) was printed in 1943 in Cairo. In it, the New Zealand photographer Ronald McIntyre describes the making of documentary films during World War II. Lord Moyne, deputy minister of state, says in the foreword: "Every family giving its young to the Services has a deep personal concern in the war news. Mr. McIntyre has helped to build up the service of war documentary films which have brought the war to the minds of millions for more vividly than would have been possible by words alone." This copy is badly age tanned but remains in good condition. Minor shelf wear to the cover. Binding remains tight. Interior pages clean. First edition, later printing with errata on last page.
