Printed for the Shakespeare Society, 1842. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1842. No edition stated. 202 pages. No dust jacket. This is an ex-Library book. Red cloth with taped spine. Expected library inserts, stamps and inscriptions. Note: a heavily damaged book with loose pages. Pages have deckled edges. Introduction by Barron Field. Pages have slight foxing, tanning and minor thumbing. Foxing more noticeable towards the start and end of the book. pp83-94 are very loose and only attached by binding thread. Bookseller's sticker to rear pastedown. Faint creases to some pages. A few dog-eared corners. Boards have some edge wear, with moderate bumping and fraying to corners, while spine ends are slightly crushed and frayed. Rather scratched, rubbed and marked overall. Boards moderately foxed overall. A few liquid droplet marks. Book has a moderate forward lean.
