About The Book Nook Illinois, United States

Biblio member since 2018

We started out as a small used book store about 20 years ago. We occupied a small storefront with approx. 1000 square feet. We would find books wherever we could. Frequenting estate sales, garage sales, and auctions was a normal occurrence for us. Bringing our customers the best quality books for an even better price was our goal.
We now occupy four storefronts with approx. 7000 square feet and stock well over 200,000 items. We process approx 150-400 used books each day through our trade credit program. New items hit the shelves each and every day!

Through it all we still strive for the same goal. TO BRING YOU THE BEST QUALITY BOOKS FOR AN AFFORDABLE PRICE.

Terms of Sale: 30 day return guarantee, with full refund including original shipping costs for up to 30 days after delivery if an item arrives misdescribed or damaged.

From the publisher

When Mattie Hart is diagnosed with ALS, her world is forever changed. Will she survive? And if so, how?

Behind the shiny faade of her idyllic life, Mattie Hart feels as though she is gradually falling apart. After sixteen years of marriage, she has discovered that her husband, Jake, a high-profile defense attorney, is having yet another affair. But it is only when Jake finally confesses his infidelity and goes to live with his girlfriend that a far greater tragedy descends. Mattie is diagnosed with ALS, a neurodegenerative disease that severely affects her life expectancy and everything she holds dear. Racked with guilt over his wife's diagnosis, Jake returns home to take care of Mattie. In this most daunting and unexpected of circumstances, Joy Fielding deftly reveals the astonishing power of love to defy the greatest odds and to heal the deepest wounds.
