Pristine, tight and bright first edition -- boldly inscribed and signed in black fineline on front flyleaf: "For Bob Malott / --- a shaper of this first / universal nation --- / With high regard, and many / thanks for your help to AEI / over the years, / Ben Wattenberg / AEI / 11/90." Wattenberg (1933-2015) was an influential but nonpartisan neoconservative political commentator and author. Robert Malott (1926-2018) was a noted Chicago civic/business leader, CEO of FMC Corporation, Republican politico and philanthropist. Wattenberg and Malott were both affiliated with the right-wing think tank American Enterprise Institute -- the "AEI" of his inscription. Copy of "Forbes" magaziine review of this title laid in.
