From the author's preface: "This volume presents in a concise form all the information necessary to enable gentlemen to visit successfully every accessible salmon and trout region of America; though of course it has not attempted to specify each neighborhood locality."

Condition:
The top edge of the spine is worn down; small cloth piece missing at the bottom edge of the spine. Cloth tears at the cover corners. The front end paper has been removed. The pages are age-toned with an occasional light smudge and small foxing spots. The top-left corner of page 94 has torn away; a piece of tape has been applied below the tear. The text on page 94 mentions the "Oquossoc Club"..."HF English Joins Oquossoc Club 1890" is written in pen at the top of the page. A note referencing page 94 is written in pen on the front end paper. Name/date (1873) written in pen on front end paper. Overall the book is in Good- condition.
