Cloth with Brick red quarter cloth look on spine, beige title field with black lettering, decorated with artwork of house and pine bough, boards are decorated with brick red and gray designs of an organ grinder's box, light blue top edge on text block, endpapers are decorated with a color family scene featuring children in the yard as they are entertained by an organ grinder and his monkey, illustrated in color and black and white throughout, 275 pp. A wonderful and heartwarming story about a large family who didn't have much and who suffered the occasional calamity, but did so with humor and good grace. The illustrations are appealing to the eye and will charm children of all ages. Very good in a very good dust jacket, protected by a mylar cover..
