The front end paper and first title page has become detached in one of the volumes. Light tanning and foxing to the first couple of pages in each volume. Otherwise they are very good free from markings of wear.

Harmsworth Brothers, 1901. Hardcover. Fair/No Jacket. A set of 4 volumes. The boards of each are quite shelf rubbed, edge worn and marked, with fraying and tearing to the cloth along the edges and in the corners and with the spines faded. Despite this, the boards remain strong and sturdy. Internally, there is age-related marking and wear-and-tear throughout the set, but the pages remain otherwise legible and complete.
