London, The Trustees of the British Museum, 1910. 8vo (21.5 x 14.0 cm). xix, 150 30 pp., 32 plates with explanatory text leaves. Original blindstamped green buckram. Gilt title and vignette on the spine. Light yellow endpapers. = The first volume of a larger series, however, the only one dealing with orchids. The lithographed plates are fine and detailed. 30 pp. advert for other BM(NH) titles bound in rear. Library bookplates on front pastedown and front free endpaper verso, weak small stamps on plate versos not shining through. Mostly clean and with the original boards firm. A very good copy.
