The endpaper/copyright page is torn out by an enthusiastic admirer of flora as shown by the attempt to draw a flower with a crayon. Thankfully the loose page remains and we know that this book is copyrighted and published by Sandia Press in 1971. No other defects noted and the remaining pages are tight and white with no marks. The Sandias have been referred to as the playgound of Albuquerque. Situated only minutes from a large metropolitan area, they offer a marked contrast to the bustle of city life. This complete two volume set of the flora of New Mexico is in Very Good Condition. It is very scarce, and an excellent reference for flora of the North American Soutwest. There is a former owner's name and gift inscription on the volumes, but they are otherwise without writing or notation. The volumes are illustrated with 463 figures and 1300 maps.
