Laramie, WY: Agricultural Experiment Station, University of Wyoming, 1962-1972. Staplebound wraps. Near fine. Set of eight octavo (23 cm) volumes with paper wrappers. All are stamped on front wrapper with previous owner's name. Bindings are tight, texts are clean.From Archives West: "C. L. Porter was born in January 15, 1905 in Gujranwala, India to American and British Missionaries. He recieved B.S. and M.S. degrees in Botany from the University of Michigan in 1928 and 1929 respectively. He and his wife moved to Wyoming, where he taught Botany from 1929-1943. After obtaining his Ph.D. in 1937, he became assistant curator of the Rocky Mountain Herbarium, and later served as curator from 1943-1968. He died January 8, 2000 in Peoria, Arizona."
