Generally fine (some wear to margins of typed leaves). Title leaf and 10 pages in ink on Basildon Bond, two poems in typescript on Kenilworth or Bilston Extra Stong. 1 vols. 4to. Poet Edmund Blunden's holograph transcription of poems by John Clare, including The Destroyer, Obscurity, The Primrose Bank, Langley Bush, The Early Daisy, Violet and Daisy; and in typescript, The Ragwort and Flowers. The first leaves of the holograph poems show typesetting marks.

Blunden was very keen on Clare in the early 1920s (writing on the "Manuscripts of John Clare" in the London Mercury in July 1920) and into the 1930s; he edited several works by Clare. Provenance: George F. Sims; Carol Z. Rothkopf
