About This Item
London: J.M. Dent & Sons Ltd, 1930. Vellum. Near Fine. Eric Fitch Daglish. A lovely copy of the 1930 signed/limited. #96 OF 150 COPIES SIGNED BY THE VISCOUNT GREY OF FALLODON ("eighty-five are for sale in Great Britain and fifty for sale in the United States") at the limitation AND FEATURING THE ORIGINAL WOOD ENGRAVINGS OF ERIC FITCH DAGLISH. First published in 1899, this signed/limited represents the first state of the "revised and enlarged edition". Clean and Near Fine in its full vellum, with bright gilt-insignia at the front panel and crisp gilt-titling along the spine. Internally immaculate as well, with no writing or markings of any kind. Quarto, top-edge gilt, deckled fore and bottom-edges. Save for just a tiny bit of light bowing to the front board, this would be an all-but-pristine copy. 10 full-page engravings beautifully complementing the text.
