About This Item
London: George Routledge and Sons, 1904. Cloth. Very Good. 11.5" by 9". Richard Doyle. A twentieth century re-issue of this popular and well known Victorian work. In the original cloth binding. An illustrated work, depicting small cartoons of three men on their travels. The travels are to Belgium, Germany, Switzerland and Italy. This work was first issued in 1854, fifty years before this re-issue. Richard Doyle was a notable illustrator of the Victorian era. In original cloth binding. Externally, smart with bumping to the extremities and to the head and tail of spine. Rubbing to the joints and spine, resulting in a small loss to the cloth at the head and tail. Front hinge is strained but firm. Offsetting to the endpapers. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are generally bright with just the odd spots. Very Good
