Chicago IL: Fleming H. Revell, 1897. First . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 4x6.75tall. This little book has a beautifully designed front cover with title and author done in silver highlighted by floral artwork on gray cloth. There appears to be some glue residue on edge of spine. Previous owner's name (one word - Will) on inside flyleaf. Subtitle states: "Studies for the hour when the immortal hope burns low in the heart." Four chapters include: Foregleams of Immortality, Immortality and Life's Withheld Completions, Christ and Immortality, and The Witness of Great Men to Immortality. Those who know the quality and depth of Hillis's writings certainly will cherish this volume.
