About This Item

Press of Morningside Bookshop, 2012. Fine/As New book in Fine DJ. 2012 reprint. Dust jacket over grey cloth binding with Confederate flags on front panel. DJ shows minor shelf wear to panels, edges, and spine with one bump along bottom back edge. Else Fine. Photo is of the copy here at Barbed Wire Books.

Brice's Crossroads was a Civil War battle won by the Confederate Army. It demonstrated the military genius of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest who out-maneuvered a Union force twice the size of his. The battle duplicated Hannibal's tactics at Cannae. Edwin Bearss is the retired chief historian of the National Park Service and an expert on Civil War battles.
