London: Jonathan Cape, 1936. First edition. Original Cloth. Good +. 8vo., pp. 412. Blue cloth, gilt titles to spine. Top edge stained green, map endpapers, b&w portrait frontis, b&w photog. illus. Biography of the Swedish born explorer and writer, chiefly in nowadays Namibia. Light wear to spine ends, previous owner's name neatly to flyleaf, a few minor marks to boards, else a clean, very sound copy. Not quite VG, but close. Uncommon.
