The first U.K. edition, first impression.In the original price-clipped dust wrapper.Anais Nin's autobiographical novel, following a woman named Djuna through various loves, sacrifices, decisions, and distress.The novel is based on Nin's own disastrous and destructive love affair with the Peruvian poet Gonzalo More.Bookplate of Eve Holroyd to the front paste down. In the original publisher's cloth binding, in the original price-clipped dust wrapper. Externally, smart. Head and tail of the spine and extremities are a little faded. Light spots to the fore edge and endpapers. Bookplate to the front paste down. Light edge wear and small chips to the dust wrapper. Wraps are a little age-toned with some spots, including to the reverse. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Near Fine
