His trademark is a small penguin character named Punk, who is often seen making a comment about the subject of the panel. He has won the Pulitzer Prize and numerous awards for cartooning. In 1990, the New York Times described him as "the most influential editorial cartoonist now working." Oliphant's work has appeared in several exhibitions, most notably at the National Portrait Gallery. Beyond editiorial cartoons, his work also includes painting, works on paper, and most recently sculptures of political figures and animals. Some might compare Olliphant's cartoon views with Rachel Maddow's in Bag Man.

INSCRIBED and with the brilliant caricaturist's Penguin logo: Fine copy in a NF bright, clean unclipped dust jacket with light edgewear and some chipping at the top and bottom of the dj's spine. Not remaindered or ex libris.
