First edition hardcover, published by Little, Brown, 1966. No dust jacket. Patricia Miles Martin (Miska Miles) received a Newbery Honor for her book, 'Annie and The Old One' in 1972. John Schoneheer received a Hugo award in 1965 for his illustrations for 'Dune' and a Caldecott in 1988 for his illustrations for 'Owl Moon. 40 pages, 10" X 7-3/4", illustrated throughout. This is not a library discard. Light brown cloth covered boards are flat, and the corners are not rubbed or creased. There is a spot of edge wear to the heel of the spine, very small bump mark to the bottom edge of the front board, about an inch from the bottom right corner. Some fading to the blue colored end papers - paste down pages. Reinforced binding is tight and square. Wonderful illustrations throughout. Attached photo is of the copy we have in our inventory.
