Dublin, Ireland: Printed for Messrs, H. Chamberlaine and Rice, P. Wogan etc., 1790. Hardcover. Good+. 12mo - over 6¾ - 7¾" tall. See photos for condition details. Hardcover, original full leather binding with gilt and red label to spine. Exterior shows scuffing and soiling along with edge and corner bumps/wear. The leather at the hinges are both starting to crack with the worst being the rear board. The internal binding of the text portion of the pages is good and pages are tight. Interior hinges appear good at boards as well. This is a two-volume set that is bound into one book, with volume 2 starting at page 155. Paper is toned due to age and scattered foxing is present throughout. Both the front and rear pastedowns and end pages contain signatures and writings showing names from the Faulkner family of Winchester Virginia. The front pastedown also contains a small label which reads W.J.D.S Library. In addition, there are a few dozen pages which either had their corners folded over or has very light penciling. These pencil marks can easily be erased if desired and the corner fold found have been straightened out. The only other issue found was on the first title page, where the top edge has been cut off - presumably to remove a signature. See the second photo for this issue.

Purchases will ship by US Media Mail or Priority Mail (if buyer selects) and higher priced items may have insured placed on the order and will typically ship within one business day. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 5 lbs., but only in unusual cases. Insurance is available upon request though we normally place insurance on any item of $75 or higher at no additional cost to the buyer. Non-US sales will ship by First Class International or Global Priority. Additional postage may be required for multiple volume books or books weighing over 4 lbs.
We always take extra care in packaging and shipping. Books are typically wrapped in packing paper or bubblewrap before packaged in a sturdt shipping box. All orders, even those shipped by US Media Mail, will be given a USPS tracking number which will be sent to the buyer so they will know when to expect arrival. Please let us know if there is a book with incorrect or missing photos. We recently moved the inventory to Biblio and a title or two may have had issues with the photos being transferred over.

If the description has typos ("and pages" instead of "end pages", pace downs instead of pastedowns, guilt instead of gilt, etc,) PLEASE let me know so I can correct the listing. Yesterday's Book Shop is an independent, family-owned establishment. The store first opened in 1966 under the name Collector's Corner and was located in Western Maryland. The Collector's Corner dealt mainly in books but also sold stamps and assorted ephemera. In 1975 the name was changed to Yesterday's Book Shop when the store only offered books and printed matter. In the early 2000s the brick and mortar store was closed and now we only sell online.
