Full tree calf leather fine binding by “Riviere & Sons.” With decorative gilt edging to boards, Raised banding, gilt decorations and maroon leather spine label lettered in gilt. Marbled endpapers and full gilt page edges. In very good condition. Some minor rubbing to edges and ends of spine. Else lovely clean smart binding. Some mild foxing to blank sides of endpapers and prelims. Neat inscription to front “Vera Morgan, from Mother, Sept 3rd. 1905.” Binders stamp to opposite corner. Some mild foxing to frontis plate, one or two occasional spots to pages else pages clean and tight. Else a lovely finely bound copy. xiv + 533pp. With a B&W engraved frontis portrait of Sir Walter Scott. A Large collection of poetry from many Authors, including Addison, Browning, Burns, Byron, Coleridge, Cowper, Dryden, ... Swift, Tennyson and Wordsworth.
