Text includes premission geologic interpretation based on photogeology; field and sample data (including results published through 1976); postmission geologic synthesis; detailed examination of high-resolution photographs of Apollo 15; analysis of Apollo 17 lunar surface photography; etc. 280 pgs. Illustrated with over 260 figures and tables. Includes 9 detailed plates in separate map case. Two-volume set is as new in shrinkwrap.
