Contains black and white photographic frontispiece, with other plates throughout. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed, but text remains clear. Noticeable marking to some pages throughout; text is not obscured. Plates are bright. Binding is firm. Pencil inscriptions to front free endpaper. Some pencil marks to margins. Boards have moderate shelf-wear, with noticeable corner bumping and some scuffing to edges. Spine and edges are moderately sunned, with noticeable crushing and splitting to ends. Silver remains bright. Moderate rubbing and scuffing overall, with visible marking also.
