Limited edition. One of five hundred copies. Signed by typographer Bruce Rogers to the rear. In memory of George Meredith, an English novelist and poet of the Victorian era. His work was liked to "chaos illuminated by brilliant flashes of lightning" by Oscar Wilde. He was nominated for the Nobel Prize in Literature seven times. Written by James Matthew Barrie, a Scottish novelist and playwright best known as the creator of Peter Pan. Library copy. In the original green paper covered boards. Externally, excellent with minor shelf wear to the extremities. City of Nottingham Public Library bookplate to front pastedown. Library stamp to rear of title page. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean throughout. Fine
