Longmans, Green,, 1867-69.. 1867 Three volumes. Facsimiles. Publisher's boards with roan spines, gilt. Rubbed on corners and leather shows a few marks. Internally clean, tight and crisp. A VG+ set. Bookplates of St. Benedict's Abbey, Fort Augustus. In 3 sections; the first, originally "to a great extent, from the pen of Matthew Paris"; the second, "a compilation by an anonymous hand"; the third, beginning with 1308, "undoubtedly the compilation of Thomas Walsingham".
