Enterprise modeling is the primary tool used in business re-engineering. Historically, the number one problem with enterprise modeling has been the lack of formalism. Getting Results with the Object-Oriented Enterprise Model tackles this dilemma head-on and prescribes a formal methodology based on object technology. This book will help create a reliable enterprise model by assessing the enterprise's current operations as well as its future operations. Developing the model within the context of object-orientation will provide an ideal framework as each object will represent a behavior that is analogous to the issues addressed within the model and the enterprise itself.
