New York: Crown Publishers,Inc., 1971. This is an about very good hardcover copy in a like dust jacket. The book is very clean throughout, but the back board is stained on the outside. And there is a gift inscription on the inside front cover, in the upper left corner (mostly hidden by jacket flap). The jacket has a few chips to the edges. Now in an acetate protector. Text by Gardner. Introduction by Paul N. Perrot. Glossary. Bibliography. Over 7,000 illustrations including 400 photographs with 32 full-page color plates showing 80 pieces. The rest of the illustrations are black & white photographs, and profiles or line drawings of the shapes of pieces. 11" high X 8.5" wide, 373 pages. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good.
