About This Item

London: John Farquhar Shaw, 1849. First Edition. Full black leather binding with gilt decoration to the edges and gilt titles. Leather bookplate to the inside board with the name "Frances Smallbone" The black leather is clean, but is rubbed to the edges of the spine, with some loss of surface colour here. Inside the book is clean and tidy throughout, with no particular flaws. Cumming was a Scottish minister, part of the Scottish National Church based in Covent Garden.
