This play is set in Provence in the mid-fourteenth century.John Davidson (1857-1909) was a Scottish playwright, poet and novelist. His poetry greatly inspired T. S. Eliot, with evident intertext of Davidson's poet 'In the Isle of Dogs' noticeable in 'The Waste Land'.This is a first edition of this work. In the publisher's original full cloth binding. Externally very smart, with slight bumping to the head and tail of the spine. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
