About This Item
New York: D. Appleton & Company, 1932. Book. About Good. Hardcover. First Edition.. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. When a high-bred woman certain of her social standing falls in love with a fascinating but unstable writer (aren't they all?), her cold and vain husband -- himself unfaithful to her -- refuses to grant a divorce, forcing the couple to flee to Europe. Gold-stamped on blue cloth. Tanned/dusty/soiled top edge, other edges tanned, moderate wear/fraying to corners/spine ends, scuffed/damp-spotted cloth, check mark in ink on front free end paper. Dust jacket w/long tear to bottom of front fold, chipping, short tears, soiling. All in all, a decent reading copy..
