Mount Pleasant, MI: The Cumming Press, 1971. Hardcover, 117 pages. Near Fine condition. First edition. Size 9.25"x6.25". "Luther Myrick emigrated overland from Jackson, Michigan, to California in 1849. His brother Thomas came in 1850 via Panama, and brother Milton came a few years later. Thomas' letters described life in the mines, mostly in the Yuba River area, economic and business matters, agriculture, politics, and of other people from Jackson. Later Luther lived in Stockton, Milton became a state Supreme Court judge, and Thomas became a teacher and principal in San Francisco." Book has very light exterior shelfwear, else Fine condition, clean and unmarked.. Near Fine.
